Hanna Herman visits Washington DC

On February 1, 2012, during her trip to Washington within the framework of the National prayer breakfast, the Presidential Advisor, Head of Presidential Administration Main Office for Humanitarian and Socio-Political Affairs, Hanna Herman and Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Alexander Motsyk visited the location of the future Holodomor memorial in Washington DC.

Hanna Herman informed the  Embassy staff and representatives of the U.S. Committee for Ukrainian Holodomor-Genocide Awareness 1932-1933 that President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych pays special attention to the  issue of the  memorial soonest establishment  and its solemn opening by the 80-th anniversary of the Holodomor tragedy.

The Presidential Advisor and the Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. also participated in the flower-laying ceremony at the Taras Shevchenko monument in Washington.
