 President meets U.S. businessmen

 

President Victor Yushchenko is convinced that economic cooperation between Ukraine and the United States should get a new impetus, he said today in New York during a working breakfast with representatives of business circles of the United States.

 



Victor Yushchenko stressed that the global recession has affected both the investment, and trade turnover between Ukraine and the U.S. and expressed belief that the situation should be carefully analyzed to give a new impetus to bilateral economic cooperation.

He called on American, and Ukrainian business to actively work at finding new partners, new forms and approaches to cooperation and invited to such cooperation the Ukrainian-American Business Council, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Manhattan and other associations of industrialists and businessmen.

"I would like to see American businesses have accurate information about prospects and benefits of cooperation with our country" - he said. The President expressed the wish that the representatives of Ukrainian and American businessmen often met to exchange information on possible cooperation projects.
