Ambassador Oleh Shamshur visited Salt Lake City for the commemorative Holodomor Torch Relay event

On May 8th, 2008, Ambassador Oleh Shamshur visited Salt Lake City for the Holodomor Torch Relay  event to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Ukraine's Genocide of 1932-1933.

In the  main Cathedral of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the Requiem service for Holodomor victims was held. Ambassador Oleh Shamshur and Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco Mykola Tochytsky  opened a commemorative torch relay ceremony.
