Ambassador  Oleh Shamshur visited Los Angeles for the commemorative Holodomor Torch Relay event

On May 6th Ambassador Oleh Shamshur visited Los Angeles for the Holodomor Torch Relay event to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Ukraine's Genocide of 1932-1933.

Ambassador Oleh Shamshur, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco Mykola Tochytsky, President of Ukrainian Congress Committee of America Mykhailo Sawkiw opened a commemorative torch relay ceremony, laid a wreath at the monument of the Holodomor victims unveiled in Los Angeles’ Civic Center Mall in 1986, awarded Ukrainian Diaspora activists and took part in joint remembrance prayer of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic and Ukrainian Orthodox churches.
