On the 28^th of November 2008, on occasion of the 75^th anniversary of the Holodomor in Ukraine, an orthodox Christian requiem over victims of the communist regime in the 30^th of the last century was served at the Anglican Holy Trinity Church in Dubai (UAE). During the service all the dead killed by “the godless regime”, which eliminated people by different means, including starvation, were remembered.

Members of the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE and representatives of the local orthodox Christian community participated in the worship.

On the 23^d of November 2008 on occasion of the 75^th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine a lecture and film demonstration about historical events of those tragical years for Ukrainian nation were held at the Embassy of Ukraine.
