Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway Y.Onischenko held a meeting with Karin S. Woldseth, Head of the Delegation of the Norwegian Stroting to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Bilateral parliamentary cooperation was the priority issue on the agenda for the meeting.

Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway has presented Credentials to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway.

On March 12-16 the delegation of the State Agency of Fisheries of Ukraine visited Bergen to meet colleagues from the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries, National Institute for Nutrition and Seafood Research, Marine Research Institute, and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. The main topic on the agenda was cooperation within the frames of the Joint Statement on cooperation between the Norwegian Ministry of Fisheries and Coastal Affairs, the Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture of Iceland, and the State Agency of Ficheries of Ukraine signed on the 4th of August 2011 to facilitate the implementation of the free trade agreement between Ukraine and EFTA states entering into force on the 1st of June 2012.  

On March 8-9 Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin paid a two-day working visit to Norway.The visit opened with bilateral political talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, where the Ukrainian side presented the Instruments of Ratification to the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and EFTA and Agreement on agriculture between Ukraine and Norway signed on the 24^th of June 2010 in Reykjavik. The Agreements enter into force on the 1^st of June 2012.
