KYIV, November 17. President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko visited the building site of the Holodomor Victims Memorial in Kyiv (park in the Ivan Mazepa street), where the construction process entered its final stage. He got familiarized with the object, observed assembling of the monument's construction elements, especially crosses placed around the majestic symbolic candle, which constitutes the central part of the memorial.

    The construction was commented by Vice Premier Ivan Vasyunyk, project authors, constructors and erectors. Viktor Yushchenko took a couple of photos as mementos at the building site.
