On May 11, 2012, H.E. Ambassador of Ukraine in Nigeria Valerii Vasyliev had a meeting with Mr. Ìdrìs Wada, the Governor of Kogi State

On March 8, 2012, H.E. Ambassador Valerii Vasyliev had a meeting with the Minister of State Federal Ministry of Power of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Darius Ishaku. Also Mr. Tatarenko the President of "Eurobudinvest" Company took part in this meeting.

On the February 28 – March 02, 2012, for the purpose of providing assistance to the Ukrainian investors in Nigeria, H.E. Mr. V. Vasiliev the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Federal Republic of Nigeria had the meetings with Minister of Mines and Steel Development of Nigeria Mr. M. Sada, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, Steel and Metallurgy Mr. P. Aduda, Chairman of the House Committee on Steel  Mr.  S. Asema, Deputy Chairman of the House Committee of Privatization and Commercialization U. Obonta, Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mrs. B. Onagoruwa and the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission Mr. M. Bello. The Ukrainian delegation of the representatives of the Consortium “ Zuma Steel West Africa Limited ” also took part in the meetings and negotiations.

January 25, 2012 Ambassador V. Vasilyev, together with representatives of the Ukrainian company "Reprom", took part in the work of the Committee of Steel of House of Representatives National Assembly of Nigeria, under the chairmanship of Sadiq Asema.
