On August 7, 2008, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Kyrgyzstan Mr. V.Solovey met with the Bishkek City Mayor Mr. N.Tyuleev.

Discussing the state and prospect of cooperation between the sister cities of Kyiv and Bishkek (in the framework of the current contractual and legal base), the Ambassador of Ukraine proposed to consider a possibility of purchase of the Ukrainian urban buses as well as ones for inter-republican trips for the need of the Kyrgyz capital, machinery for the needs of housing and communal services etc.

The Bishkek City Mayor showed willingness to make a visit to Ukraine in September 2008 to establish direct work contacts with the Ukrainian colleagues.
