On August 7, 2008, at the Embassy of Ukraine in the People’s Republic of China, a solemn ceremony of inauguration of the Ukrainian House at the XXIX Summer Olympic and XIII Paralympic Games 2008 took place. The establishment where solemn events of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine will be held during the Games has been opened under the Embassy of Ukraine for the first time.

In the ceremony, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr. I.V.Vasyunyk, the Minister for Family, Youth and Sports of Ukraine Mr. Y.O.Pavlenko, the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Mr. S.N.Bubka and the Ambassador of Ukraine to the People’s Republic of China Mr. S.O.Kamyshev took part.

The Olympic House will operate in the territory of the Embassy of Ukraine during the XXIX Olympic Games and XIII Paralympic Games of 2008.
