On July 24, 2008, in connection with expiration of the mission, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Vietnam Mr. Pavlo Sultanskyy was received by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the state and prospect of the bilateral cooperation. The head of the Vietnamese parliament thanked for organization and successful holding of the visit of his Deputy Mr. Uong Chu Luu who visited Ukraine in June 2008. In his belief, the interparliamentary exchanges at all levels are an important tool of understanding and strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and peoples.

The Ambassador of Ukraine informed Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong of recent establishment of the parliamentary group of friendship with Vietnam in Ukraine consisting of representatives of various political forces.
