On June 30, 2009 the Ambassador of Ukraine to Republic of Moldova Serghii Pyrozhkov met with the President of Republic of Moldova Volodymyr Voronin.

During the meeting the current situation and perspectives of development of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Republic of Moldova, in particular in the context of ‘Schedule on realization of the urgent issues in relations between Ukraine and Republic of Moldova’ implementation have been discussed.

The parties stressed on readiness to intensify work aimed at solving existing problematic issues between two countries, in particular concerning promotion of the Moldovan-Ukrainian state border demarcation.

S.Pyrozhkov and V.Voronin exchanged opinions regarding the internal political situation in Republic of Moldova in the light of parliamentary elections planned for July 29, 2009 and their influence on the further development of bilateral relations between Moldova and Ukraine.

V.Voronin supported the proposal of Ukraine regarding the necessity of intensifying the parliamentary cooperation between two states.
