On September 4, 2008, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. V.Ogryzko met with deputies of the German Bundestag headed by the President of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Mr. Ruprecht Polenz.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the international situation in the context of the Russian – Georgian conflict and possible combination of efforts of the international community for non-admission of tension escalation in this region. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine gave arguments for support of the European integration intentions of our state by Germany. In addition, a start of an expert dialogue between Ukraine and EU on development and further implementation of a joint roadmap aimed at introduction of reciprocal non-visa procedure between Ukraine and EU was discussed.
