On July 24, 2008, in Rome, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. V.Ogryzko met with representatives of the Ukrainian community in Italy.

The Minister V.Ogryzko thanked the local Ukrainians for maintenance of the Ukrainian spirit in not near Italy and deserved representation of Ukraine among the Italian community. Mr. V.Ogryzko informed the meeting of the actions taken by the Ukrainian State for support of foreign Ukrainians. In this context, representatives of the Ukrainian societies of Italy promulgated an agenda of issues which require solution.

The Minister V.Ogryzko answered numerous questions and in conclusion of the meeting delivered a set of books of the Ukrainian literature, audio and video equipment and a football suit for their cultural and educational needs.
