On July 24, 2008, in Kyiv, the seventh round of the Ukrainian – Indian political consultations was held between the foreign policy offices of the two countries.

At the consultations, the Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. Oleksandr Gorin and the Indian one by the Secretary (First Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India Mr. Nilakantan Ravi.

In the course of the consultations, the bilateral cooperation was discussed, in particular in political, commercial-economic and consular areas as well as interaction in international organizations. The parties agreed with the need for intensification of the bilateral contacts and in particular considered preparation for high and top political level visits.
