On May 15, 2008, Mr. Y.Kostenko took part in inauguration of the memorial tablet to the First Minister for Public Health of Austria, prominent Ukrainian scientist and public figure Ivan Gorbachevskyy. The Austrian – Ukrainian Society jointly with the Austrian post issued a postage stamp with a portrait of our renowned compatriot dedicated to this event. Before the guests of the events, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Mr. Ivan Vasyunyk, the Federal Minister for Social Policy of Austria Mr. Erwin Buchinger, the President of the Austrian – Ukrainian Society Mr. Rudolf Edlinger and other officials from the Ukrainian and Austrian parts made speeches.

Musical ornamentation of the celebration was performance of the Lviv Military Orchestra of the Western Operational Headquarters of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
