On May 5, 2008, the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Mr. O.Kupchyshyn delivered the note of protest against the Russian party for the actions of the Black Sea Navy of the Russian Federation which tested the air antisubmarine missile in the territory of Ukraine to the Advisor and Envoy of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Ukraine Mr. V.Loskutov.  

In the note it is emphasized inadmissibility of violation of the terms of disposition of the Black Sea Navy of the Russian Federation in the territory of Ukraine defined in the basic agreements and a claim is set up to provide an explanation on the said incident and to take all measures required in order to avoid similar occurrences in the future.
