8 лютого 2010 р. Посол України в Японії Микола Кулінич зустрівся  з Президентом Японського Форму Атомної Промисловості (JAIF), найбільшої японської організації, яка об’єднує підприємства ядерної галузі Японії, Т.Хатторі.

On February 7, 2010, the second voting for the presidential election of Ukraine took place in the foreign electoral precinct No.114, Japan.

On February 5, 2010 a meeting between Petro Poroshenko, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and Koichi Takemasa, the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs in Japan was held. During the meeting matters of activation of bilateral cooperation were discussed, and top priority was given to economy sphere.

On February 3, 2010, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Mykola Kulynich had a meeting with the Secretary General of the Supreme Court of Japan Toshimitsu Yamasaki.

On January 26 and 27, the third Japan-Black Sea Area Dialog with the topic “Perspectives of changes of wider Black Sea area and role of Japan” was held in Tokyo, under the initiative of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (OBEC).

On January 20, a meeting between the Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan Mykola Kulynich and the president of the International Friendship Exchange Council (FEC) Kazumasa Hanioka was held.

On January 17, 2010, the election of the President of Ukraine was held on the foreign Electoral Precinct No. 14 on the territory of the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan.
