On the 9th of March, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Finland A. Deshchytsia attended the opening of the exhibition devoted to Ukraine in the City Library of Kouvola.

 

The exhibition was organized by a group of researchers of the Finnish Institute of International Relations (Helsinki) and the representatives of the Kymanlaakso University of Applied Sciences (in Kouvola).

On the 18th of February 2010 the Finnish Institute of International Relations held a seminar where senior researcher at the Institute Igor Torbakov presented his report "The morning after: Where is Ukraine headed under President Yanukovych?”.

On the 17th of February 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine in Finland A. Deshchytsia attended the premiere of the performance "Anna Karenina" based on the novel by L.Tolstoy. The performance was made by famous Ukrainian director Andrii Zholdak with the Finnish actors of the City Theater in Turku.

On the 26th of January, 2010 President of the Finland Republic Ms Tarja Halonen opened the exhibition CD - PHOTO at the City Hall of Helsinki. The idea of the exhibition was to show Finland through the eyes of the foreign ambassadors accredited to Finland. Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. A.Deshchytsia supported the idea of the organizers of the exhibition and presented the five original photographs, which reflected a pictures of nature, an unexpected life episodes and his impression of Finland.

President Viktor Yanukovych Introduced Minister for Foreign Affairs Kostyantyn Gryshchenko

Today President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych introduced his new foreign policy chief Mr. Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to the top personnel of the Foreign Ministry.

 

In his introductory remarks the President stated that the newly appointed Foreign Minister is well aware of rapid transformations in the global political environment, which require adequate response to the new challenges and threats, including those in the wake of the financial crisis. “We live through the times of changes. Ukraine occupies its relevant place on the world map, and we will work to improve that,” - the President said.
