Observers from the Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF), in association with Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) were up early on Sunday, February 7, 2010 to monitor the beginning of voting in polling stations across the country.

“Based on the Ukrainian President’s Decree as of January 15, 2010 in response to the request of the United Nations the Government of Ukraine on January 27, 2010 made a decision to donate 4.1 million Ukrainian hryvnya (USD 500,000) as a humanitarian assistance to the Republic of Haiti”, - stated Ihor Ostash, Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada, answering the journalists’ questions on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.
